Win-win Partnership Empowers Global Prefabricated Building Development
On May 20, 2026, Mr. Ahmed, State Minister of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources of the Maldives, visited our production base for an in-depth inspection of prefabricated steel structure construction capabilities. The visit focused on island residential projects, reclamation construction, and coastal prefabricated housing solutions, aiming to promote deeper cooperation between China and the Maldives in marine infrastructure and livelihood construction.
Accompanied by a team of industry experts, including Dr. Lin Shuzhi (Former Chief Engineer of Xiamen Transportation Bureau), Mr. Xu Quanchi (Secretary-General of Steel Structure Committee, Xiamen Survey and Design Association), Mr. Zhu Wei (Laboratory Director of National Digital Construction Innovation Center), and senior consultants from the World Bank Group, the delegation conducted professional discussions with our core technical team. All participants exchanged in-depth views on island special geological adaptation, marine climate resistance, rapid prefabricated construction technology, and engineering application in reclamation areas.
The Maldives faces unique construction challenges, including limited land resources, fragile marine ecology, high temperature and humidity, severe salt spray corrosion, and soft foundation terrain. Traditional building methods are difficult to adapt to local complex marine working conditions. In contrast, prefabricated steel structure buildings feature strong corrosion resistance, convenient sea transportation, fast on-site assembly, and long durability, making them the most ideal solution for Maldives’ residential construction, coastal new town development, and reclamation supporting projects.
During the on-site inspection, the official delegation visited our production workshops and component processing areas. They fully reviewed our complete industrial system coveringstandardized design, industrialized production, professional anti-corrosion and moisture-proof treatment, marine packaging protection, rapid on-site assembly, and strict quality control. The delegation highly recognized our professional technical strength, large-scale production capacity, and reliable overseas project delivery capability.
In the seminar, Minister Ahmed affirmed that Chinese prefabricated building technology is mature, cost-effective, and highly efficient, which perfectly matches the Maldives’ demand for livelihood housing and marine infrastructure construction. Attending industry experts also provided professional optimization suggestions for project feasibility, marine environment adaptation, technical scheme improvement, and standardized construction specifications, providing solid technical support for future project implementation.
This official visit marks authoritative international recognition of ouroverseas prefabricated steel construction strength. Moving forward, we will further strengthen official communication and project docking with the Maldives government, accelerate the customization of island-specific prefabricated building solutions, and deliver safe, eco-friendly, high-efficiency, and long-lasting prefabricated residential projects for marine and island regions.
Committed to global market expansion, our company will continue empowering international infrastructure and livelihood construction with advanced Chinese prefabricated steel construction technology. We aim to build stable cross-border engineering cooperation channels, create high-quality living environments for global clients, and achieve long-term mutual benefit and win-win development in the field of modular construction.
